Having 111 Possessions, My 7-year Mission

Owning 111 Items in life as a hoarder and an artist.

During my traditional Holy Week trip to Bantayan Island, Cebu Philippines, I came across Robin Greenfield’s website while reflecting on life, simplicity, and the crossroads of self-discovery. I was with my cousin Paolo, staying on the rooftop of a friend’s storm-damaged restaurant, living in a tent powered only by solar panels. The atmosphere felt raw and honest — surrounded by sea breeze, quiet nights, and conversations with people about purpose, freedom, and what truly matters in life.

Discovering Robin Greenfield during that time felt strangely aligned with the mindset I was in. His philosophy of minimalism, intentional living, sustainability, and reducing possessions connected deeply with the environment and emotions of that trip. The website explores his journey of simplifying his life down to only a small number of possessions and living in a way that challenges modern consumer culture. (Robin Greenfield)

What stood out to me most was how the website is more than just about owning fewer things — it is about freedom, awareness, connection to nature, and redefining success and happiness outside materialism. Reading through the pages while living simply myself, even temporarily on that rooftop in Bantayan, made the experience feel personal and reflective in a way I still remember strongly today. (Robin Greenfield)

Here is the link to the site about his 111 Possessions, read through and be amazed on how he is doing this:

Deftones in Qudos Bank Arena, May 2026

Deftones Brought by Live Nation, in Qudos Bank Arena on May 2026.

There’s something different about seeing Deftones live.

It’s not just a concert. It feels like stepping into a dream soaked in distortion, atmosphere, nostalgia, and raw emotion all at once. Recently, the legendary band returned to Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney for two massive nights, reminding everyone why they still remain one of the most unique and emotionally powerful bands in alternative music.

This was actually my second time seeing them live. The first time was during Good Things Festival, which already felt unforgettable, but seeing them again at their own headline show inside Qudos Bank Arena was a completely different experience. The atmosphere felt darker, louder, more immersive, and way more emotional. It honestly felt like entering another world for a few hours.

From the moment the lights dimmed and the opening riffs echoed through the arena, the energy instantly hit. The crowd was packed with longtime fans alongside younger listeners who discovered the band through playlists, edits, and online music culture. Somehow, Deftones still manage to connect with different generations without ever changing who they are.

The entire arena felt cinematic — giant waves of distortion, haunting visuals, flashing lights, screaming crowds, and moments where the music shifted from aggressive chaos into something strangely beautiful and melancholic. Songs like “Digital Bath,” “Be Quiet and Drive,” and “My Own Summer” sounded massive live, almost hypnotic.

Papa Roach, Quodos Arena, Sydney 10/04/2026

Papa Roach, Quodos Arena, Sydney 10/04/2026

 (BLOG IN progress)

(Care of Destroyalllines.com)

Papa Roach has always been more than just a rock band for a lot of us—it’s the soundtrack of high school struggles, late-night overthinking, and trying to figure yourself out when everything feels heavy. Songs like *“Last Resort”* hit different when you’re young, giving voice to emotions we didn’t know how to say, and for many it quietly helped with mental health more than we realised at the time.

So when that kind of energy makes it to a place like Sydney, it feels like those old emotions come full circle—but now as survival and strength instead of pain. Even for those of us from a small island like Cebu, it’s like a reminder that those bedroom-rock-concert moments weren’t small at all—they were the beginning of something that still lives in us every time the music hits.

Here are some photos and videos from the concert—still processing it all. More words and stories coming soon.

Let us start with the Merchandise, A lot of good ones, my favorite is the roach one.

Some Travel tips - Ultimate International Checklist

In my Search for travelling tips, I came across this list and decide to Go into it

Here it is;

Ultimate International Travel Checklist

Here is the Link of the Creator of the info graphic.

Before I Get into it.

I love checklists. They save my life all the time during my travels. This list I came across Captured my eye as I am also living internationally for 4 years away from my hometown. Though this list is not my usual list. Mine would be more on the survivalist side , by I decided to share this one as it is a good checklist to use for most kinds of people, creatures, aliens, and sentient beings.

Why These 25 Items Are Essential for International Travel

International travel isn’t just about packing clothes. It’s about risk management, comfort optimization, financial access, legal compliance, health protection, and home security — all at once.

Each item on this checklist exists because it solves a specific problem travellers commonly face abroad.

Let’s break it down properly.

IMPORTANT STUFF – Legal & Entry Requirements

1. Passport (Up to Date)

Your passport is your identity, legal proof of nationality, and permission to cross borders. Many countries require at least 6 months validity remaining before entry. An expired or near-expiry passport can result in denied boarding at the airport — not even at immigration.

Without it, you simply don’t travel.

2. Necessary Visa

Not all countries allow visa-free entry. Some require applications weeks in advance, documentation, or proof of funds. Showing up without the correct visa can mean deportation at your own expense.

A visa isn’t paperwork — it’s permission.

3. Local Currency

While cards are widely accepted, not all destinations are fully cashless. Taxis, rural areas, small vendors, or emergency situations often require local cash. Arriving with at least some currency avoids airport exchange rates and prevents being stranded without payment options.

Cash equals flexibility.

4. International Driver’s License

If you plan to rent a car or scooter, many countries legally require an International Driving Permit (IDP) alongside your home license. Without it, you may:

  • Be denied a rental

  • Void your insurance

  • Face fines if stopped

Mobility equals independence.

5. Headphone Adapter

Airlines, trains, and older transport systems often use dual-prong audio jacks. Without an adapter, in-flight entertainment becomes inaccessible. It’s a small item that significantly improves long-haul comfort.

Small inconvenience → Big impact over 10+ hours.

TRAVEL ESSENTIALS – Physical Comfort & Practical Survival

6. Travel Pillow

Long-haul flights strain the neck and spine. Poor sleep increases jet lag, irritability, and travel fatigue. A pillow improves sleep quality in transit — which affects your first 48 hours at your destination.

Rest is strategic.

7. Headphones

Noise control is psychological protection. Planes, airports, and public transport are overstimulating environments. Headphones create a personal bubble — for sleep, focus, or stress reduction.

Travel is loud. Silence is power.

8. Flight Essentials Kit

This typically includes lip balm, moisturizer, toothbrush, wipes, and basic hygiene items. Cabin air is extremely dry. Dehydration and discomfort can make long flights miserable.

You land feeling human instead of wrecked.

9. Travel Debit Card

Using your everyday card abroad can:

  • Trigger fraud alerts

  • Cause transaction blocks

  • Rack up foreign fees

Travel cards reduce conversion fees, allow multi-currency wallets, and protect your primary accounts.

Money access = survival abroad.

10. Two Pairs of Comfortable Shoes

Shoes fail. They get wet. They blister. They break. Having a backup prevents injury or disruption. International travel often involves more walking than expected — airports, cobblestone streets, hikes.

Your feet carry your entire journey.

11. Sunscreen

Even cloudy destinations can cause UV exposure. Sunburn abroad can:

  • Ruin multiple days

  • Increase dehydration

  • Increase medical risk

You don’t want your trip defined by peeling skin.

12. Insect Repellent

In some countries, mosquitoes carry diseases like dengue or malaria. Even in low-risk areas, bites cause discomfort and allergic reactions.

It’s not just annoyance — it’s prevention.

TECHY STUFF – Functionality & Connectivity

13. Universal Travel Adapter

Electrical outlets differ globally. Without the correct adapter:

  • You cannot charge your phone

  • You cannot charge your laptop

  • You lose communication

In modern travel, power equals connection, navigation, and safety.

14. Travel Toothbrush

Freshening up after long transit improves confidence, hygiene, and comfort. A small tool that dramatically changes how you feel upon arrival.

Travel is physical — hygiene resets you.

15. Buckle Straps

Luggage can burst open, especially during rough handling. Straps:

  • Add structural security

  • Deter casual theft

  • Help identify your bag quickly

It’s preventative damage control.

16. Download Essential Travel Apps

Offline maps, translation apps, ride-share apps, airline apps — these reduce confusion and dependency. In unfamiliar countries, digital tools replace familiarity.

Information equals autonomy.

HEALTH STUFF – Risk Mitigation

17. Travel Insurance

Medical emergencies abroad can cost thousands. Insurance covers:

  • Hospitalization

  • Flight cancellations

  • Lost luggage

  • Emergency evacuation

One accident without insurance can create long-term financial damage.

It’s protection against the unpredictable.

18. Necessary Vaccinations

Some countries require proof of certain vaccines. Others have higher risk exposure to specific diseases. Vaccination protects:

  • You

  • The local population

  • Your ability to enter the country legally

Health compliance prevents both illness and border issues.

HOUSE STUFF – Peace of Mind While You’re Away

19. Book Tours in Advance

Some attractions sell out weeks ahead. Booking in advance avoids disappointment and overpaying last minute.

Planning reduces friction.

20. Arrange Pet Care

Pets depend on you. Proper arrangements prevent emergencies, neglect, or costly last-minute solutions.

Responsibility doesn’t stop at the airport.

21. Turn Off Plugs

Prevents:

  • Fire risk

  • Power surges

  • Unnecessary electricity use

It’s safety and savings.

22. Turn Off Water

Leaking pipes while away can cause massive property damage. Prevention takes 30 seconds.

Risk management at home.

23. Divert the Mail

Overflowing mail signals an empty house — increasing burglary risk.

Security is subtle.

24. Turn Heating Down (Not Off)

Prevents frozen pipes in cold climates while reducing energy waste.

Balance between protection and efficiency.

25. Leave Travel Plans with a Trusted Person

If something happens — flight delays, emergencies, missed check-ins — someone knows where you’re supposed to be.

It’s a quiet safety net.

The Bigger Picture

This checklist exists because international travel multiplies variables:

Different laws.
Different climates.
Different health systems.
Different currencies.
Different risks.

Each item was chosen to reduce friction in one of five areas:

  • Legal access

  • Financial stability

  • Physical comfort

  • Health protection

  • Home security

Remove one, and your trip becomes more vulnerable.
Include them, and your trip becomes smoother, safer, and more intentional.
