Deftones Brought by Live Nation, in Qudos Bank Arena on May 2026.
There’s something different about seeing Deftones live.
It’s not just a concert. It feels like stepping into a dream soaked in distortion, atmosphere, nostalgia, and raw emotion all at once. Recently, the legendary band returned to Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney for two massive nights, reminding everyone why they still remain one of the most unique and emotionally powerful bands in alternative music.
This was actually my second time seeing them live. The first time was during Good Things Festival, which already felt unforgettable, but seeing them again at their own headline show inside Qudos Bank Arena was a completely different experience. The atmosphere felt darker, louder, more immersive, and way more emotional. It honestly felt like entering another world for a few hours.
From the moment the lights dimmed and the opening riffs echoed through the arena, the energy instantly hit. The crowd was packed with longtime fans alongside younger listeners who discovered the band through playlists, edits, and online music culture. Somehow, Deftones still manage to connect with different generations without ever changing who they are.
The entire arena felt cinematic — giant waves of distortion, haunting visuals, flashing lights, screaming crowds, and moments where the music shifted from aggressive chaos into something strangely beautiful and melancholic. Songs like “Digital Bath,” “Be Quiet and Drive,” and “My Own Summer” sounded massive live, almost hypnotic.

Watching Chino Moreno perform again reminded me why Deftones stand in their own lane. They don’t sound like anybody else. Their music feels emotional, dreamy, heavy, violent, peaceful, and nostalgic all at once. It’s the kind of music that doesn’t just play in your ears — it completely surrounds you.
Seeing them for a second time made me appreciate them even more. Some bands lose their magic live over time, but Deftones somehow feel timeless. The experience stayed in my head long after the concert ended, like a strange dream you keep replaying days later.

Even after leaving the arena, the energy of the night still lingered in my head like an echo that refused to disappear. Deftones have this rare ability to turn music into an atmosphere — something you don’t just hear, but physically feel around you.
Going through these photos almost feels like reliving fragments of the concert all over again — the lights, the noise, the emotion, and the moments where the entire crowd moved as one. Every picture captures a small piece of that experience, but honestly, being there in person was something else entirely.
